Menswear in South Africa has not been noticed or really been taken seriously like women’s fashion has in past years, But we seeing this change a lot lately with different designers coming up and changing the scene of menswear in fashion. We saw how dominant menswear fashion can be at men’s fashion week with designers like Rich Mnisi and Lukhanyo Mdingi and seeing what they’ve done with putting street style and high fashion together, their designs are amazingly different and beautiful.

The use of bold colours and oversized designs are really changing the way in which mens fashion is suppose to be ‘safe’. In the next coming years we are going to see menswear really rise and be different and we will be able to compete with other well known fashion capitals. I am really excited about the route our fashion scene is taking and how South Africa is rising in the fashion world.
