What can I say about Zola,Zola Nombona is a humble, respective&kind young lady,I know that because I went to secondary school with her in Mthatha Eastern Cape. She’s a fun-filled lady with a bright and beautiful smile.Miss Nombona made her first acting debut on SABC 1’S Intersexions as Shado, a streetwise teenager, in the second season of the SABC1 drama series Intersexions, in 2013.
It was her first major acting role which she excelled in her acting for someone who just made her debut in the industry. Good way to greet the industry&put theory into practice. She went on to study drama and acting at Victoria Girls High School in Grahamstown before go the University Of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg where she studied for an honours degree in Dramatic Arts.
Goes to show the hunger, steaming passion&burning desire she has to take acting to a whole new level in South Africa. Intersexions was her first television acting part and she played a featured role in Episode 5 as Shado, Rosie’s quirky and fun cousin
Later in 2013 she landed a starring role in an episode of the e.tv anthology series Mzansi Love: Kasi Style (“Sexy.com”, Season 2, Episode 3).Her character, Sindi, is a writer, blogger and (single) “it girl” who is idealistic about the internet and communicates through her blog “Sassy, Single in SA”. Her co-stars in the episode were Litha Booi and Sthembiso Khoza. This is just the beginning of Zola Nombona’s acting career,it shall blossom in marvelous ways. In 2013, she had a recurring role as vain, narcissistic and controlling Lerato, who uses her extraordinary beauty to lure and control adoring men, in the SABC1 sitcom Single Guys.
In 2014 she revived her role as Lerato from Single Guys in the spin-off sitcom Single Galz, in which she moves in with her girlfriends.Zola is busy making it in the film&entertainment industry. Taking baby steps she shall be a well established actress. Her developed acting techniques are a great investment in her career. She strives to understand the character she is bringing into life, develops the character mentally, physically&spiritually. Makes the character Live&improvise with the character. I’ve observed her acting&she is definitely taking it to greater heights at a calm pace.Wondering how I know all of this? I did acting when was doing my 1st year, very interesting world to venture in.
Oh!I forgot to mention she hasn’t changed one bit (personality wise) being in the limelight has just made her more humble. May your career blossom Hlubikazi elihle&keep on shining. Your Mthatha family is behind you all the way.Sending lots of love to you
